In need of rear brake components for gsxr 750 wheel swap. Have wheel from 1992 bike. Also have brake torque arm. Need caliper, hanger, sprocket hub w/cush drive, and brake rotor. Maybe a few spacers in there too. Will share this on the fb page also. I have money and I want your parts.

I have Suzuki rear wheels on both of my FJ's. At the moment, I have no spare Suzuki parts. Here are a few ebay links for parts that you have listed for what you need.

Sprocket carrier.

Cush drive.

Rear rotor

Rear caliper

Rear hanger

Left hand spacer

Rotor bolts
http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/suzuki/SP-09106-08148.html

I used titanium rotor bolts like these
http://www.ebay.com/itm/5x-Titanium-Bolt-Front-Rear-Brake-Disc-Rotor-Suzuki-GSF-GSXR-DL-RF-SV-TL-600-750-/172018254240?fits=Year%3A1992%7CModel%3AGSXR750&hash=item280d1641a0:g:g7cAAOSw241Yf4Qu&vxp=mtr

This list should be all that you need. I also used a standard length 1992 Galfer braided rear brake line. A set of wheel bearings won't hurt. The Suzuki set comes with 3 bearings.

Your parts list and prices (+$300), provide credence to advice given here. If you're going to do the swap, to buy all the needed parts at one time from the same donor bike, and not do the mod piece part.

For the Suzuki rear wheel swap, the average cost is in the $300.00 range. So the above figures fit close to the average.

Rock on Fred!!!!

I didn't go with a complete rear end cuz I couldn't find one... If you know of one send me the link guys!!!

I was having issues finding a caliper especially because I wasn't exactly sure which years were compatible. I just knew that if I had 1992 stuff I needed to stay 1992 or older to a certain point. I got the actual wheel for $70.00 and the torque arm for $15.00. I personally believe I will stay below the $300.00 area...

Thanks for the helpful information Mr. Greenlee!!! See you in Wisconsin in a few months! :-)

On Partzilla.com, click on the actual part number and you are taken to the part page and as you scroll down, you will see every model that the part number is used on. This link shows the page for the 1988 GSXR750 rear caliper. It shows that it is used on the 1992 models.

Price depends on what country you live in and how plentiful the rims are. In Australia their very rare and a 5.5 inch rim at the moment with nothing on it will cost around $375.00, then add the cost of everything else on top of that. It cost me about $950.00 overall to get fitted out with a 4.5 inch rim and that's paying $150.00 for the rim alone.

I've ordered complete gsxr750 wheels twice from breakers. Both times I got gsxr 600 wheels. One had a mixture of 600 and 1100 parts. Spacers can be had from dealer for not much. Mine allowed me to bring back the wrong ones. Good luck..
