Hi guys !

I have the Haynes one. I just want to ask you about the Clymer. Is it worth to buy one next to the Haynes manual. Are any plus infos in the Clymer manual wich the Haynes doesn't have in it ?   :unknown:

Thanx !

I don't understand why people buy the Haynes and Clymer manuals, when the Factory Service Manual is still available from Yamaha.

I prefer the factory manual over all others.

Some dealers will give you a free download if you're nice and take them a thumb drive.

Print only the pages you needs, when you're done, pitch them and start over -

Or save them for service documentation.

I'm surprised there are not links to free downloads -

I know everyone knows this but...  it would be illegal to have a link to a "free" download  of copyrighted material without the owner's consent.  Or so I've heard  :scratch_one-s_head:. Otherwise Yamaha would have them on their website.  Plus Randy would jeopardize his relationship with Yamaha if such links were to be found on this site. So if anyone finds one you probably shouldn't post it.  Just my opinion though.

If you want to go that route they can easily be found.  I got mine at a wreckers last year. Swap meets and bike shows are a good option too. FWIW.

The thumb drive at the dealer is a shot. If you are a regular they may do it on the side.  They may even have a dusty copy on a shelf some where that they would be willing to part with.  If your someone out of the blue you may just get an eff-off.

If you can't find one in the meantime, the Haynes & Clymer are adequate enough for general purpose maintenance and specs. There are some slight discrepancies between the two.   I have all three and have used the factory one as a final reference for things I'm not familiar with. It's beat up and covered in oil stains and grime, so I want it to last.

That's a good one.  :sarcastic:  I should have specified things like torrents and such. That's usually where the grey area is.  This is much more... red/white, silver/white, black/blue, purple/silver...  :pardon:
