:good2: Thats awesome Pat. Great article and photos. Recognition for your labor of love for one of the greatest bikes to stand the test of time. Definitely one of the sweetest FJs out there.

Congratulations to Pat Conlon on the presentation of his 84 FJ1400 in the March/April 2017 issue of Motorcycle Classics.  Beautiful bike. Nice article. Hats off Mr. Conlon.
I don't need you to tell me how good my coffee is. I'm the one who buys it.

Barnes and Noble does carry Motorcycle Classics.  I saw several copies on the magazine rack a few days ago.  My issue came in the mail last week, too.

I just got around to reading my Motorcycle Classics magazine today. What a nice surprise to see an article on your FJ with such a nice photo shoot Pat.  What a beautiful ride that has obviously been loved! Congrats! If you need an extra copy, I can send you mine.

Got mine at Barnes and Noble. Pat if my 84 looked like yours I would be smiling in that last picture.

I got my copy last night. The internet does not do the article justice. The presentation in print is very nice.

I have been away from the forum for some time now and had no previous knowledge of your article Pat.
So imagine my surprise to see you in print?
I normally don't make it to the book store on a regular basis, but today was our 33rd anniversary, and we planned to go out for a nice supper after work to celebrate.
I suggested meeting at the mall as a half way meeting point before heading out.
I had several minutes to burn before my wife arrived, so I went looking for my usual aviation mags and in doing so, the March/April issue of Motorcycle Classics jumped out to me for the cover story on Triumphs.
Last copy on the shelf, I thumbed it open directly to the page of your picture Pat standing there with your FJ.
I was dumbfounded, could not believe what I was seeing.
Feeling very proud to see you recognized on all your years of effort and dedication to the FJ.
Needless to say, I bought the copy and was sitting on a bench in the mall, reading every word when my wife walked in.
She saw what I was reading and said, "Oh, an FJ"! I said not just an FJ, but that is Pats FJ, the guy that I have met at several rallies and keeps inspiring me to keep my FJ looking as good as I can!

Well done Pat, awesome bike, and I'm glad I can call you a personal friend, even though you have just went all "big-time" on us!
Cheers!

Thanks Leon, but, big time?  No I don't think so....hope not...

I'm glad the article surprised you, as I posted, Dain shot the pictures several years ago for Bike Kraft magazine but they closed shop the following month....so after the years went by, it was a suprise for me also.

Happy 33rd Anniversary! That's the important stuff right there....
