Opinions on Red and White

Looking to repaint the FJ1100 race bike again this year.  Plan to go with the matte red and white again this year.   I spray canned it last year but was not happy with the color of red - is was too "brick".  The side cover looks good in this pic, but the real color shows better on the fairing and is still a bit "browner" in person.  I haven't found a spray can color I like in flat or satin red (thought I found a good red until I test sprayed it - it had a wierd "pinkish" tint to it).  So I've been looking at single stage matte paints.

I'd like to get some opinions on the following "samples" - I know it's looking a a computer screen so it really is a crap shoot.

Can't post a screen shot right now - so I have to send you to the link.  I plan to keep the same basic paint scheme (but delete the MPS-F 1350 class designation).

For the white - I'm thinking the super bright white - or maybe the Wimbledon white.  How "white" is the FJ white?  Thoughts?
For the red I keep going back and forth between the jalapeƱo red and the candy apple red.  I'm leaning toward the darker candy apple red.  Thoughts?

Note: the candy apple is the name of a solid color not a "candy" multi-layer paint like you think of with "candy" paints

I like the candy apple red also. On my computer the candy apple, watermelon and rockin red all look very much the same.

A pistol is like a parachute, if you need one and don't have one you will never need one again.

Thanks Dave.  All three may use the same red as a base?  I think the watermelon is a pearl and the rockin red is a metallic while the candy apple is a "solid".

Part of me thinks I should use the leftover paint on the 89...    like the 89 will ever be anything other than matte black!

All my computers seem to be crap, so no picture, but search
Rocket garage fj1200
And behold the most beautiful bike ever.
It just happens to be an FJ.

That is one of the prettiest FJ's out there. Only thing is I would have kept the engine a stock colored big black lump. It just doesn't look right in the silver.

That is an excellent FJ!

Between that bike and browsing through most of the FJ gallery, it looks like the super bright white is the one to choose for the white.
