looking for a clear meter cover no scratches for a 92, I just scrated my perfect one taking of the fairing  ugh

Should you need to remove the fairing again, try this, 10 mins tops and no risk to the brittle mounting tabs and it's waaaay easier.

Remove these bolts either side (with the fairing still on and scoops removed)



and the whole fairing, instruments, wiring etc will come away as a complete unit.

As for the instrument cover, unlike the windshield, it is plastic and easily polished. I would be surprised if the scratch couldn't be polished out. Mechanical buffing with metal polish should get rid of it in no time.
A lambswool pad in a drill is all you need, then a final polish with something fine like plastic or car polish then wax it.

The lens for a 1992 is still available from Yamaha.  Or at least it shows so.  1TX-83511-00-00 . Contact Randy at RPM or a Yamaha dealer. I would try Randy at RPM first.  You might be able to polish those scratches out or at least clean them up a little.
