Changing carburator membranes?

Hi,

do somebody have had experience to change only membranes, not the whole package with aluminium slider but only rubber membranes? Set of membranes (four pieces) would cost about 100 €, but complete four set of membranes with sliders would cost four times more...

A friend of mine did it. Easy enough and no apparent ill effects. The new ones did however seem to be thicker/heavier.

I just wonder how to dis- and reassemble them? I see no screws.

It depends on the replacement diaphragms you purchase.  They have instructions on their websites.

It is probably best to try repairing them with plastidip.

G'day,
when I came to doing mine, I cut off the plastic ring and installed the replacement diaphragms straight onto the brass slides.  No probs since.  I think the website I bought mine off suggested super glue if the diaphragm is too loose.  http://jbmindustries.com/
