Thanks. It's an '02. The '03 through '05, have a blacked-out engine and frame. The '01 and '02 models, do not.

Your son will love his '03, and it's paint scheme is eye-catching.

The FZ1 bikes of their Generation ('01 - '05), are pretty nice. Sure they have their shortcomings, like many bikes, but they offer a lot too. Best of all, you can find low mileage (I did) examples, for really great prices.

I'm going to have to ride in from Fond du Lac. Friday and Saturday mornings. About 2 1/2 hours non slab. What time do you think I should be there for the rides. I kinda remember kickstands up at 10:00 am. At most of the Rally's. (But I have dain brammage) If someone can let me know the plans. Would appreciate it.

With trying to build the house right now can't spend any pennies, for a room.

I haven't set a time for departure yet. I am not sure if anyone has any interest in riding with me. Is there any, please pipe up. Goes for anyone.

A 10:00 a.m. kickstands up departure is a little later, than I'd like. I was planning on a long ride for Saturday, and looking at a 9:00 a.m. start.
If other people want to commit to riding as a group, I can accommodate a 10 start time.

Didn't you post recently that you made 70 large from your house sale? What's $120 for one night at the lodge for attending the Rally?

Dan, when you get there we will figure something out. I will volunteer 1/2 of Fred's bunk. It just makes sense, he spent time on a a ship during his enlistment. Fred is used to close courtiers.

FJ1100mjk, I will ride with you. I was thinking about figuring out the routes after we got there.

Yah but finally got bids back for the geothermal. and both came back@$45,000.  That going to put me $10,000 over my already stretched budget. Signed up for OT every single day for the last 2 years and worked every one they called me in for. 3146 hours last year. Of course I've never worked less than 2800 hours.for the 29 year's I've worked for them.

Departing in about an hour. Forecast calls for rain this afternoon; with a little luck I'll have it timed about right. OTOH, I've missed the last two Boone Rallies, and what's a Rally without a little rain? It wouldn't be a Rally if I didn't get a little wet at some point.

I'll be heading out from Minneapolis around 3:30 today.  Going to try and stay off the interstate as much as possible, not sure when I'll get in tonight- probably closer to 9pm.  Looking forward to a lot of riding tomorrow!  See  you guys soon!
