***Am I posting right? Total new beginner. Bare with me.***

Finishing bleeding the clutch slave cylinder, I moved the bike from it's centerstand. Then this spectacle dropped down on the floor [see attached pics].
I can't find it's origin, so I ask for advice. Does anyone know where this piece belongs? Most importantly is to know if it's vital or not.

FJ1200 '91.

Something tells me it's part of the battery-box, but I'm sure someone else will chime in who knows for certain   :pardon:

It looks to me like one of the front fairing mount tabs?
Possibly one of the ones behind the side air scoops?

Looks exactly like the tabs I broke off from either side of the head lamp. I learned how to weld ABS the very next day thanks to Mike (Skymasteres).
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Looks a lot like the headlight tab.  Only way to tell for sure is to remove the fairing and have a look.

The fastener is wrong, on my '86 and '89 it is a 10MM hex head bolt. So it might be from the side panel. The J-Nut (Spring nut) looks the same.

Unbolt it and see what's sandwiched inside the clip.  That might tell you where it came from.

Hello again.

Possibilities:
Part of the battery-box.
Front fairing mount tab.
Head lamp tab.
Side panel tab.

I'll update once I find it's true origin. Maybe I'll be able to learn ABS wielding myself.

Thank you all for your fast response.

The material on the far right, is that foam? or foam-like?

I will add another possibility...... The thing that I notice is two layers of plastic. Too me the square piece that had the spring clip on it is a main fairing tab. The other piece could be from the aft mount of the air scoop. The only place that I know of that has two layers of plastic are the three air scoop mounts to tabs in the main fairing.

Hello.
It sure looks foam-like. Although, just like the sandwiched piece, it's also hard plastic.

That is noted. Maybe I'll be able to locate it without removing the fairing.
I'll be plenty satisfied if I know where it's suppose to go. Fix can wait.

It looks like the tab broke off from the stock exhaust is my guess,
