A cold ride

I rode the '89 to work this morning. This is the first time that i have ridden in single digit temps, and the lowest temp that I have ever ridden in.

The ride really was not a choice, my Yukon XL is in the transmission shop with a bad transmission/transfer case. I really hope that the problem is the transfer case. Rebuilt/repaired Transmissions are high dollar.

You've never been cold until you've been motorcycle cold.

Temps aren't the problem. Black ice on street bikes is a killer.

At least you don't feel the pain right away since you are all numb from low temp.  :rofl2:

Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet. 40 deg Celsius. Humidity 99% and the FJ slowly sank into the car park.

Where I work, there are multiple parking lots. All of them are asphalt. There is specific motorcycle parking slots in each parking lot. There is an actual concrete strip about 12 inches wide that runs the width of the motorcycle parking slots. Specifically to prevent the sidestands from sinking into hot asphalt.
