Hey Randy, does RPM carry the Seal Guard, 36Y-22151-01-00, for the 84 model - or anything that would be close enough to fit my bike?

The early model swing arm guide is NLA we tried to order them with our last order from Yamaha but they said they didn't have any and wouldn't be making anymore. Some people ave adapted the later model 89-93 Swing Arm Guide has been adapted to work by several members on here.

OK.  Looks like it's out of stock at the moment anyway.  Is it possible to install this chain guide without removing the swing arm? Sometime over the winter I'm getting help in removing my swing arm and doing maintenance on the bearings, etc., but I'd like to inspect the swing arm after removing it to see what (if anything) I've got left of my old guide and if there is any indication of chain wear on the top of the swing arm if that part of guide is not there.  I do have part of the guide still in place on the bottom of the swing arm.  I was thinking that if it can be fitted on the bike after I do the swing arm work I could make a decision later whether to try to fit this one on.
