Since I've never owned a gravity-feed FJ, and I want to make sure that I get this right.
According to the picture on the air-box, this should be correct?

Yup. Colossal pain in the ash to get it connected to the tank.

Thanks for the pictures Alan.... Would you mind if I put them over in the Carb Files Section?

Go right ahead.
I actually looked in the files section for hose routing before I posted.
I didnt see anything in there.

Yup. Colossal pain in the ash to get it connected to the tank.

After about 25 years of ownership I found slipping 2 x 4 block on edge under the rear end of the tank to support it while slipped my hands in to connect fuel lines made it damn near easy. Laughed at my self for all the times I struggled with this.

I don't route it under the Y-link. Makes it easier to connect to the tank and have never had a problem.

Ditto. Early on in my ownership of the FJ, I replaced that section of hose with a stiffer automotive hose. The routing has always been "wrong" but I've never had an issue. Doesn't fit in the curved retainer very well, though.

Hi All.

As an alternative,I borrowed this idea from Mr Blackstock.

I replaced the stock fuel line with the thicker walled automotive line and replace the stock "Y" piece with a brass "T" .
This allows the split lines to sit a bit lower, or closer to the intake manifolds allowing more space for the main line to run over the top.I have been running this setup for about 4 years now with no issue.
This allows the tank to be raised higher to give more space to easily connect/disconnect  the fuel line at the petcock.
