Hi all, I'm converting my fj1200 to a bobber/chopper, thus not needing the standard clip ons.. Please can anyone tell me is there any top yokes from other motorbikes that will fit so I can add risers and a handlebar. I know the forks are 41mm and measured the distance between the forms as 170mm and the outer a being 240mm. I guess this question has been asked a lot but I can't find the info. But any help is greatly appreciated I'm new to building a bike so learning everyday.

Ps I know there is an abm kit on the market but at nearly £200 I'd like to find all my options. Plus I hate chrome ...

Along with the diameter and spacing of the fork tubes, there are 2 other considerations for the top triple (top yoke)
1) the offset: the distance between the steering stem and centerline of the 41mm stanchion tubes.
2) the diameter of the hole for the FJ's steering stem and the countersunk depth for the nut.

If I were doing a custom bike I would think along the lines of replacing the complete front end.
There is nothing special about the FJ's spindly 41 mm damper rod forks.
