When I was seventeen this shit didn't matter.
Now I'm fucking sixty (60) and my wife of the last 30 odd years has just lost her  fight with Melonoma.
Fuck it I am so fuckingh pissed off (and so pissed) even a  few calls to a few good mates could't get me thru this . Im fucked....

I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired'?

"Well. I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine."

Waricle,

Very sorry to hear this.  I don't know your pain, but do know I'd be lost without my wife of 30 years also.

If you need a friendly ear, or a change of scenery just give me a call.  0419 034 225

Waricle,
I know we joke about our wives, but we all know they are the center of our world. I've been with mine for half my life as well, and cannnot imagine the depth of pain that would come with a loss like yours. The group is here for ya, lay it on us and we'll listen. Or if you just want to talk about anything but, shit, that's why this forum is here! Thinking about you man,

You are in the thoughts and prayers of both my wife and I.  Let us know if there is anything we can do to help!  As has been said - if you just need to vent, ramble, etc...please do so!

Just know that you are in the thoughts of A LOT of global FJers right now...hang in there brother!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Peter, although I only meet Helen for a very short amount of time she was certainly a lovely lady with a great attitude and strength .
Please take care Peter and if you are ever in Tassie make sure you come and visit or if you feel the need to get away for a bit you are more than welcome to come and stay here.

Colin.

Pete, I only met you and Helen the one time, but thru this group we (and I mean we as a group) have come to know you.
So sorry to hear that you have lost your beloved partner.

If I can be of assistance in any way, give a shout mate, and don't forget I'm just up the road a ways!

Thoughts are with you mate!

It's morning and I'm regretting that second bottle of wine.
Thank you all for your kind words, they are appreciated.
I realise I'm not the only person out there with problems and sympathise with you.
Thanks again.
