Greetings from Norway! After a period without motorbikes (Due to marriage and parenting) i finally convinced the wife I should have a motorcycle again, so i bought a -84 FJ1100 driveable project this spring with 110 000 km this spring, and then i convinced her that it wasn´t quite safe enough without some major work, so i got an -95 FJ1200 this summer for some leisure driving. Yesterday i rebuilt the forks on the FJ1100 with RPM valves - and put on some Delkevic slip-ons (18" oval SS), and WOW! major upgrade! The forks (Stock with antidive) went from utter trash to fantastic performers on a testdrive on some tarmac road that were beeing prepared for resurfacing - no vibrations, very good stopping power (stock brakes but probably rebuilt MC since they perform better than the ones on the FJ1200). Thanks to this forum for all the information to get started with maintenance and mods - has already helped me a lot!  Next up is the RPM rear shock waiting in the garage, and new chain/sprockets. The Fj1200 may need valve adjustment and/or engine mount loosening due to vibrations at 2600-3500 rpm.

Welcome to the forum :hi:

A good valve adjustment and carb sych will do wonders for vibrations. The 1100 will always have more vibes than the '95, due to the '95 having rubber engine mounts.

RPM offers bar end vibranators. They do work to lessen vibes in the handle bars.
