I know an owner here that will wave at nearly anything on two wheels except scooters. I watched him as he waved at what looked from the front to be a modern bike then saw it was a scooter. I thought he was going to pull over and wash his hand... :rofl2:

Today I waved at a kid on a bike, two people on zero turn lawn mowers, a farmer pulling some kind of whatever with a tractor, an ol lady at the mailbox and a cow in the field. I Dont much care if you ride or not, I'm so happy to be on my FJ that my hand naturally waves on its own to pretty much anything that is alive and in my path.

I love that!  :good2: When you love what you ride, everything seems right in the world.

One of my neighbors waved at me the other day while I was mowing... amazing how quickly one can reverse direction on one of those things!  :shok:

Being a left hand side of the road rider, I am a nodder. I will give the nod to pretty much anyone on two wheels. I have a friend who is a waver and saw him wave at someone once so enthusiastically that I thought he was going to dislocate his shoulder.
My theory on why not many Harley riders wave, is that they are scared of taking their hand off the bars for fear of the wobbles.

I thought you might confess... But I did leave it up to you. It looked like you slipped and your hand went too deep into the port-o-potty.  :bad:

I'll wave to everyone, whether I'm on one of my scooters, or on the FJ, except scooter squids. You know, sandals, shorts, ball cap, cigarette, soda or cell phone in hand. I go out of my way to give a wave or nod to an ATGAT scooter rider. Wave, don't wave back. Don't care. I wave because I ride. Same with opening a door for a woman. I don't do it because she's a lady, I have no way of knowing if she's a "lady". I do it because I'm a gentleman. (mostly).. Enjoy the ride..

I'm now a US waver having grown up a nodder in the UK. Both are there to signal a common acknowledgement of the two wheeled addiction kinda like a mobile what's up, hey nice bike, great day for ride ain't it? Most peeps wave back, but it's not mandatory. If someone waves at me and I miss a wave back to them, I usually feel bummed, so make a special effort to wave like a loony at the next passing biker. Even if I overtake a biker I raise a peace sign as a friendly coming through.
Yep waving is good
life without a bike is just life
