My seat cover has seen better days and its time to look into a replacement. Does anyone have experience with or know anyone that has ever used this place out of Poland? http://www.ebay.com/itm/131878122990?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT  . If  I Use a local shop, I'll probably have the amount of $$$ into a recover but I'm not sure it will look this detailed for the same price. Any links on other covers would be much appreciated.

I searched Google "seat covers fjowners.com" and found many hits for this topic, this one should be a good start. http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=11193.0
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Thanks Monkey. After seeing that Fred had done his seat in that same cover that was all I needed to see, that looked sweet. Gonna take a while to get but if mine looks as good as Fred's it will be well worth the wait. I went ahead and ordered it, no turning back now.

I ordered the seat cover from Poland about 4 years ago. There was a catch at the time. There was no shipping to the USA. Fortunately I had a friend that could receive shipments to Finland and then brought it to the USA, then mailed it to me.  :wacko3:

I believe there is direct delivery to the USA now.

The quality is pretty good and installation is pretty simple using a high quality staple gun.

I only used the recovered seat a very short time. During that time it worked very well and I had no complaints. I can't vouch for durability of the vinyl if the bike sits outside over a 5 year period.

As far as mirrors go..... If you have a 1989/1990 model, the 2012/2013 Honda CBR250 mirrors work great.

With the Honda bases, the through holes don't quite line up with the OEM FJ mounting holes. You will need to slot the holes like the following photo.

FJ seats aren't too difficult to recover as DIY. I replaced the cover opn my FJ1100 with UV resistant vinyl and added a layer of nylon "tick" underneath. For $30 I had enough material to do two seats.
