Got my pods and jets from RPM today so I took it apart and got to it. Per Robert's recommendation I went with 115 main jet, 40 pilot and 155 air bleed. He also said to put the washer shim under the slide needle so I did that as well. My pull throttle cable at the carb has been broken since I got the bike ( broken bent metal piece with the 10mm nuts) The cable has been fine not frayed but I went ahead and got a new one while I had it all taken apart. I also got the oil filter adapter and put that on tonight as well. I didn't receive a large O ring with the RPM adapter so I just used my old one, not sure if it is supposed to be supplied or not but my old one fit it fine? After I got it all installed I got to try out the new Motion Pro Carb Sync tool RPM was kind enough to supply me with, surprisingly enough my hillbilly mason jar carb sync do dad had them extremely close. Only a couple of tinker adjustments and it was spot on.  First thing I noticed on my test ride was the smooth take out as I released the clutch, my bike has never been that smooth. Acceleration was definitely better and I honestly think it rolls through the gears a tad  smoother now. My first impression of the pods is all good. So much more room with that bulky air box gone. Now working on fuel lines or the carbs or whatever is simply painless, wish I'd have done the pods right off the bat when I got the bike.

The guys at RPM are pretty good with carb settings.

Yes it takes the guess work out of it when you have that knowledge guiding you to the proper outcome. :good2: I feel blessed that someone like Randy was even into FJ's in the first place, and then wound up offering support to guys like me most of the time at no cost and with no demands other than the willingness to see another FJ saved, very cool. The RPM store is just a bonus IMHO

My bike has never ran so well to be honest. When I talked to Robert @ RPM he was trying to understandably help save me a few bucks by only sending me the jets that I needed and not duplicates which tells me they're not all about the money. Its been a few years since I put the carbs together so I was actually unsure of what jets I had put in it ( I had no jets when I got the carbs) I just asked Robert to send me all 12 jets just so I could start fresh and not have to disable my bike before the package showed up. As it stands, my air bleeds where correct so i could have saved 16 bucks but no big deal. I'll keep an eye on what mileage I get out of a tank. I normally dont run it just a little below 1/4 and I normally  have 200 miles on around that point. I'll see what it does.
