The Mid Summer Gathering

A few of us Midwesterners have decided to gather together in Arkansas for a couple of days of riding.  

As the title says..... The Mid Summer Gathering is being held the 18th-20th of August at The Hub Motorcycle Resort, Marble Falls, Arkansas.

Break out your Mesh gear, Kewl vests and CamelBaks and come ride the Ozarks with us.

I just thought I'd better check and see if anyone is still planning on making the trip to Arkansas later this week. The weather forcast is not terribly encouraging, but I know for a fact that I've never melted in the rain so far. All I have to do mechanically is change the chain and sprockets and then I'll be good to go.

I was able to ride through the area today. I rode The Pig Trail, (Hwy 23) to Hwy 16, then Hwy 16 to Fayetteville. So my brother and I will be at the hub sometime Friday. And leaving after a short ride Sunday. His Fj is down right now. So he will be riding his sporty.

So just got back. Had cancelled the reservation for Saturday and Sunday. Because it was supposed to be heavy tstorms. I went by myself Mon and Tues. My brother had to work. Don't know if anyone else went. Unbelievably awesome riding both days. Push Mountain is the best road ever. Going to sleep now have to drive form OKC to North Fond du Lac Wisconsin tomorrow. Will post some pictures In a couple days.

The riding in the whole area is incredible, Push Mountain Road is an FJ owners 30 mile dream.
