Just pulled fairings and side panels off again ready for purchase of wiring loom and noticed this box it was double sided taped to the right hand side of the battery box wires going up to headlight at opposite end has one male and one female 3 pin light plug  disconnected st light and plugged in light plug on main loom and bike started and light works as normal
So to say I am confused at the moment is a major understatement  :scratch_one-s_head:

Any help would be much appreciated

Before you spend a lot of money and time on a new loom, a loom is just the wiring that connects all the components, not the components themselves. It is highly unlikely the gremlin you're looking for is hiding in the wiring.

Good advice Noel but do you really think a Kiwi is going to listen to an Aussie?     Dave

You can always tell a Kiwi, but you can't tell him much.
