Of much more interest (to me, at least) is the olympics hockey and the start of the WSB season at Philip Island.

T20 is the short form of the game, takes about 3 1/2 hours, so its really over before it starts 

I much prefer the 5 day version, but kicking Kiwi butt is good any time

I'm Scottish so cricket is an alien game to me but I love the fact that in a Test Series a team can go to the other side of the world and play 5 matches each of up to 5 days over the period of a couple of months and a draw is an acceptable outcome.

Cricket - who gives a shit - bunch of poofdahs in silly hats waving sticks and throwing their balls about. We now have what must be a record for great starts and fizzling finishes in cricket so bring it on Oz and give us another hiding. Why isn't there more motorcycle racing on TV in NZ? We've just had two weekends in a row of classic race meetings at Pukekohe and at the brand new Hampton Downs circuit (watch this space for Superbikes later) and the Paeroa Battle of the Streets, all iconic events and none on them rated a mention while the stupid Winter Olympics got heaps of coverage and only the foreigners here would be watching it.

Well maybe it's time to break out that pie, you know, the humble pie you get to eat when you are wrong!!! Wrong wrong wrong!!!!!  Stop snivelling now and wipe your eyes. Yes I did see some of the highlights of the weekend's cricket with some outstanding shots played by Kiwis and some outstanding fielding. Don't whine about the play off that we won 'cos that's the rules....
