Weird electrical mods by P.O.

Last year  I started my custom FJ project and made some clean restoration on general. Now  I am on Electrical mod stage, that I planned to move CDI and relays under the seat.
The complicated part is, P.O.'s also made some corrections or find their electrical issues some shortcut solutions like, discarding switches, some relays, connections etc.

Now my prb. is, I can't detect some parts on motorcycle that appears on the diagram:

• Side stand Relay
  Diodes
  Resistor

Side stand switch is connected to one of the other relay?

First of all, I need to know that if the diagram shows maybe  different version than my bike?(1990 FJ1200 3SK)
When Iconnect all harrnes, it triggers the starter solenoid but side stand security won't work (I checked the switch,it's ok)

I'll be thankfull for any ideas

I have learned from our Austrailian FJ brothers that not all FJ's have sidestand switches.

Ok. Some updates about the electrical issues. I made all cable wiring. All works but still there is no diode no sidestand relay no resistor in my harness. I think p.o. had bypassed those parts some how. But still it will be good what those parts for?  I mean diodes and resistor..

In general: Diodes send the current one way. It prevents the current from reversing, or back feeding the circuit.

For your specific application, I can not answer.

Then add in circuits for lights and signals.  

Yamaha used multiple grounds to activate different relays - sometimes you can issues where current will then back flow through a related circuit with unintended results.  Different configurations of diodes and or resistors can change that behavior.  

Although I love to modify things, I always remember that manufacturers don't add parts for no reason - no advantage to them cost or warranty wise to add something that's not needed for the designed purpose.   Now, if I modify something for other than the designed purpose, I'm responsible for figuring out all the issues and for the results.

It's 10 times more difficult when you inherit someone else's "improvements"

Today I decide to put some oil and fuel to let the engine run. First the fuel pump doesn't fill the carbs because the fuel pump did not get power, some try and fails I disable tge reserve button and short those cables..Voila! it works

Good trouble shooting

Reserve switch vs fuel pump vs ignition interrupt: There has been discussion in the past as to exactly what the reserve switch does. This is a good example.
