Hi Guys,

I have a 1991 FJ1200 with about 35000km on it. I just got it last August and the previous owner had it for over 20 years. He seems to have taken good care of it. Shortly after getting it I noticed there is a leak from the oil drain plug. The manual says to replace the washer every time you change the oil. I don't know what kind of washer to get or where to get it.

I also have an annoying vibration coming from the right side of the windshield, so I took it apart to take a look and when I tried putting one of the outer screws in it broke. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement screw for it?

Thanks!

Try this link.http://rpmracingca.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Engine%3ADPGSeems like a very reasonable price.

I've had good luck finding common hardware on Ebay.

Hi!

Regarding the small bits, I order mine from this site: http://www.wemoto.com/ and this one: http://www.biketeile-service.de/. I suggest you order a couple of those crush washers for oil drain plug since they are cheap and should be replaced every time u make an oil change.

The later one also has some screws you could need, I know you NA guys have the problem with those metric screws. As we Europeans are concerned regarding Jap bikes, every screw from a tractor fits.
RPM's site is also a good place to look. Try looking in files here to find the specific Part No. for the screw and try searching that way. I usually get a lot of stores in US that way.

Hi Guys,

I have a 1991 FJ1200......

I also have an annoying vibration coming from the right side of the windshield.......

Thanks!

If you've got a '91, stop chasing the vibes and fix the cause. It will be frozen engine mounts, the fix is well documented here.
With the mounts done, you could loosen off every screw on the bike and not get a rattle or vibration anywhere.
