Alone time in the shed (dim the light please)

So I am sitting here in my shed. I have just flushed and renewed the clutch fluid (was a horrible grey colour)  l gave the brakes some fresh fluid too,. I am feeling good about being me and staring at the bike. I would love to go for a ride, but waiting on a new crank seal and timing cover gasket,  so only short tips to work for now.

Is she the prettiest bike in the world? I would say not. But she is mine. Everything on it I have done. I have wasted money and changed my mind on things and will most likely do it again. Is she concourse?  Hell no!

Next plan.might have to change the blinkers.  These cheap Chinese LED'S are not lasting the distance. Must be time for a Bourbon.

Wouldn't look too bad Mark once it's painted, but I can't see how the motor would keep cool. From the photo it looks like the front is fully inclosed blocking all the airflow. Might be alright in some frozen snow covered country, but not suitable here.

Too young to be old but old enough to know better.

Fully open front. Follows the frame contour. Will post more pictures in the AM.

Back in the shed.....again. Here are some more pictures from around the full lower fairing.  There seems to he plenty of room for air flow.

And in the man shed, we have all the comforts a man could want. Radio, bar fridge most of the tools you will ever need for an Fj (excluding diagnostic equipment)  and the usually spare parts.

Mark, I'm not a fan of the fully faired look. It's a sin to cover up an engine that looks as good as an FJ's. It makes it look like a modern
indistinguishable plastic bike.   :negative:
   Just my opinion. Regards, Pete.

"I am a simple man with simple pleasures. Please don't over complicate things." This is also how I try to get through life. I think it applies here.

Beer and a browse.  :drinks: :drinks:

Mark, check out the UK FJ pics.

Although I'm of the same opinion as Pete re the fairing (only when we're talking FJs now), some of the mid fairing jobs I've seen are nicely done, and do compliment the FJ styling.

Back when Jesus played full-back for Jerusalem, I mean the 80's, I thought the FJ needed a full fairing to be equal to it's contemporaries. Now I love the fact that they are different. Last of the air cooled big bore rice burners!!

Long live the mighty FJ!!!!!
