Tail light with LED's from RPM, front turn lights LEDs from well lets say somewhere in China. The left turn side works perfect,the right side is on all the time no blinkie. I've got capacitors in line for the right (no blinkie) no capacitors on the left works perfect. Is there a possibility of a switch problem on the handle bar? The relay in the harness seams to click at the proper rate for the left,but no clickie for the right. I've tried to eleminate the caps on the right and use one or two, none of the combinations have any effect.
WTF? Anyone have any thoughts on this conundrum.

Get in touch with FJmonkey.....he just went through a similar problem...... Check the ground wire to the bulb socket.

My RH front indicator had an intermittent fast flash problem with standard bulbs. I checked the bulbs and they tested as good. So when I had the fairing off I connected the turn signal and messed around with the wires. I could get the flash rate to normal but not for long. I thought the problem was in the connector. I cut the light housing open thinking a bad solder joint. No, good solder joints, epoxy that back together. Then I went after it again and found the ground to the housing looked a bit karked. I could get the flash rate back to normal by stuffing the wire back into its self. The wires broke at the crimp, the angle of the wire determined if the conductors touched or not. I cut the wire, added a touch more wire and soldered the ground directly to the housing. Some epoxy over to secure it and all will be good again.

No blue hands, we got grip heaters....

For years I poo poo'ed grip heaters. I can be such a stubborn knuckle head. Grip heaters rock.

My Oxford grips are da bomb.

I like the RPM grip heaters, I can use the foam grips (or any grips), better on long rides for me. And it fits my cheap ass budget. More money for gas.

If you're going all LED lights, don't put in resistors to make them blink. Swap out the old flasher for an electronic one made to work with LEDs. First, it's an easy swap back to OEM, and you're not hacking up your wiring harness. Second, the savings you get from the LEDs will allow you the extra amps to run those heated grips you're talking about without taxing your electrical system. If you use resistors with the LEDs you're using those amps up when they could be saved for something useful.

No problem. LEDs and electronic relays also a good way to free up some power on vintage bikes from the 70's. They never had a whole lot of extra amps available to begin with anyway.
