I really appreciate all the help and info the last couple of days. While my knowledge of the FJ is somewhat limited, I know a lot of things.

I'm going to let you in on something that is very popular with the US military stationed overseas as well as ex pats like myself.

The device is called a G box.



This little box is Android based and will turn any TV into a smart TV. Nothing too remarkable there. It has WiFi as well as cable connections, USB ports and a SD card slot.

It comes with an app named Kodi installed. This is simply a media player. Nothing special except there are addons for it that will let you watch free streaming TV. The real magic occurs when you do the Fusion upgrade. This will give VOD that puts Netflix to shame with no fees. If a show is aired it the States (or anywhere) today, it is available tomorrow. There are even some live sports available. I've been using one of these for the last three years and love it. The power supply is 110/220v so it is useable world wide.

For those of who are skeptic, want to try before you buy or just too cheap to spend the money there are other options. Kodi will run on any Android device (tablet, smartphone, some smart TVs), PCs and other devices. It is available for free here.https://kodi.tv/download/

The directions are a little complicated the first time you do it. For this reason I suggest you read on one device while installing on a second one.
