If you're also willing to change the windshield, turn signals, fairing inner panels, gauge surround, and fairing stay, it just might.

There might be a few more odds and ends to swap.  I looked at doing it once, but it's been a long time.
Plus all that red paint was making me sick.   :bad:

As a direct swap, the answer is..... No it won't, the '89 3cv main fairing is 2" wider and 2" taller. There is a completely different fairing support frame between the the '86/'87 1tx models and the '88-'90 3cv models.

With all that said.

I believe the main frames are close enough, that you can mount a '86 main fairing support frame and then mount the '86 main fairing, instrument shroud and fairing/fuel tank shrouds.

Here is a 1989 Main fairing for sale on eBay. It is the Dark Blue/Gold version. Not cheap, but looks complete with no major damage.

Though I've gone to the dark side with my young S&M Plastic goth princess, I often miss the the crimson alabaster hues of my 'mature' Fabulous Jezebel. She was such a lady.  :i_am_so_happy:

So...Mr Power Ranger, it begs the question: What color bike did you ride today?

Grrrr.... You know the answer to that question. My Red and White '86 is out of play due to injury and now you taunt me with insult. But I will be riding my dark blue FJ today once the plastic is back on. At least my other bike is an FJ....
