Just a thank you to those that run and moderate this forum. Brilliant resource.
I picked up my '93 1200 this afternoon and all went well, everything works fine. £19 to fill her up and a steady tootle home. I went right round the island actually so 20 miles added.
I'm hoping she takes to living outdoors after being cosseted in a garage for years.
I'll be having a look for protective sprays on the forum. New front tyre going on this week £68 Bridgestone so pretty good price including shipping. Bulbs all checked and apart from some minor fettling she's in good shape.
Thanks again guys and happy riding.
Ride it don't hide it.

I think your time might be better spent looking for a good quality cover.  Protective spray is not going to save you from sun, moisture and bird$hit.  A good cover will.  My FJ lived outdoors & covered for 7 years (don't ask!) and no one would be the wiser!

I agree with Ed. a good quality cover designed for motorcycles. Since you mentioned a spray, I found this stuff, spray on, peal off. Lots of colors including clear gloss. I have not tried it yet, might be a fun way to experiment with colors before you spray your FJ.
