In amongst doing all this work I renewed the carbra on the tank. This time I did it in 2 pieces. Tried it in 1 piece. To difficult. I had to redo the template on the computer and fine tuned it so it covered the gold stripe on the tank. Took a few hours to do. as I had to allow for stretch in the material in the design. The vinyl cutter handled it well.  It's the new 3M scotch guard material. This stuff saved my tank from a possible paint gouged so well as the acetone from removing the tank Kreme.  The old carbra was 4 pieces. I redid the" FJ1200 " tank decal as well.  The join is just above the FJ1200 decal. It's I then put another piece over that for my belt / jacket zipper. If it scratches it's easy to redo that bit than the whole thing. I'm hoping to add the carbra material to my vinyl sign business later in the year. It's not cheap but compared to a new paint job it's great insurance.
