Leaking clutch master window

Hi,

Ive only had my fj1100 for a few weeks, its almost roadworthy and I am chomping at the bit to ride it.

The main issue holding me back from a roadworthy is the leak in the master clutch cylinder.  Its quite a fast leak and it seems to be coming from the window and from the lever.

I have bought a rebuild kit from RPM but im now thinking that wont fix the leak in the window?

Is there any advice or fix for this?  The second hand ones online seem like a risky purchase and cost a fortune from the USA ($120-200 delivered).

Any advice would be very welcome.

Thanks Tony

I used one of these http://newrivercyclesalvage.com/sight-glass.html on one of the master cylinders on my '85. Years later, it looks good, and doesn't leak. Kind of wished that I did both master cylinders at the same time, so they matched. Still looking at the old, yellowed OEM one on the other master cylinder.

Not sure if you can get a similar fix where you live. The weigh next to nothing when it comes to shipping.

I just wanted to say, thanks a lot for pointing me to New River Cycle Salvage....they posted it quickly and the replacement glass was cheap and a great way to keep it looking original.  Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the heads up, I will see if my mechanic can order one through his trade account.  Cheers

Hey!

I followed your example here and ordered it on Feb 14th, but still no answer from the guys. Neither that they got my order neither they are making it, nothing.... What is your experience?
