As this guy stated in the article:

"Luckily, the MSDS is available online and the composition is relatively simple: pale oil, naphtha, and IPA."

The MSDS only lists ingredients that are hazardous to human health, and then in a very broad range.  There may be other components in Sea Foam that are not listed (e.g. emulsifiers, lubricants) that may not be considered hazardous.  And he is just guessing what the "pail oil" might be.

This person may have a chemistry background and know what he's talking about, then again he may just be .....

For the amount of money you save making your own - maybe a whole $20-$30 per year - vs. the amount of money you have invested in your FJ - would you trust it?

The potential risks of burnt valves, rotting seals, etc - is enough for me to fork out what is essentially the cost of 3 packs of smokes annually for the genuine article.

But then again, I am presently scraping all the bubblegum I can find off the street so I can make my own tires.  How hard could that be?   :pardon:

Nothing like that minty fresh rubber smell after a sporty run through the twisties....  :sarcastic:
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

I prefer my IPA by itself. :drinks:......................I never could stand the taste of the other stuff.  :bad:

I don't think we're talking about the same IPA here, but if it works for you, who am I to judge?
