Oakville restoration project looking for recommendation for motor refresh

Hi everybody:  I've started a big refresh of my '84 FJ (frame blast and repaint and all components cleaned/rebuilt).

I'm working on everything BUT the motor, which I'd like to have a refresh done to it as well, since its out of the frame.  (rings, head clean, valve clearances and anything suggested)
I can do the simpler things, just not experienced enough for a tear down and re-assembly.

The ask is:  Can Ontario riders suggest a person(s) that might work on my engine for me through the winter.  It can travel anywhere needed in southern Ontario, and I won't be working on the bike until March.

Here's an idea, since we do not all have an RPM close by.  Contact your local Legend race club and see who rebuilds motors for them.  Here in Alberta, Willy Vass at https://www.facebook.com/vassperformance has built many legends motors and would be my one of my goto guys if I ever got the itch.

In Bragg Creek we are really fortunate to have Jon who build bikes to take to the Isle of Mann just for fun.  Pretty sure he could handle ans FJ motor:

Specializes in finding ways to fix the Japanese bikes no one else will work on any more. How many clicks are on your motor? We are going to California in February, and have room for an engine. It would need to be shipped back as we are only staying there a week. John

Brian at ultimate cycle is cool just helped me get my 850 triple on the road. Once your engine is in his shop any work done is at shop rates.. Keep this in mind.

Gord Bush of Gord Bush Performance 49 Fima Cress. Etobicoke Ont.
1-416-259-9700. Gord has been around for years building tons of motorcycle engines
He did my engine twice back in 1989 new piston kit & valves.  Then again in 2010 a freshen up new ring and seals valve job.
Gord dates back to the 80's with his partner they built The very successful Leitner & Bush Engineering.
I know he recently built CanDman's engine also. Haven't heard if Kevin is happy with it. But haven't heard he's not.
I must say I do like the idea of having John drop it off at RPM in February Then shipping it back to you
when its built into a killer motor !
I think you'll be in good hand with any of the above suggestion the guys have given you. They all have good reputations

Hi Tim,

There are a few members within a couple of hours from you according to zee maps if you might need some assistance.

I don't know what your budget is for your winter project.

With the motor already out of the frame a few hours of labor at a reputable bike shop and you can have a completely refreshed 1200 engine with this kit.

Thanks all for the info - keep it coming. 
No worries on the DIY comment.  I'd give it a try, and learn something in the process, but I'm on the road in January and February, so time is more the issue than skill and labour.   I want to get the motor to its destination before xmas, then pick it back up in March.   
Somebody also asked the mileage - somewhere around the 60k mark.  I lost two speedos over the past 5 years and didn't replace it for a summer.  They just spun to death. 
When I had a timing chain changed out when I first got the bike, the guy said it had good and even compression, so I left if alone.  Worked and ran great through about 4 seasons.
My riding style is boring highway and short Ontario trips.   The second gear slip topic never showed itself on this bike.
