i have used a cpap, then a BiPap for many years. You will likely feel much better and it will protect from premature death. Change filters, hose, and mask (or nose piece) as recommended. May seem unlikely but rubber in mask wears out and will start to leak without you realizing it.
I have found that running the hose over the headboard and straight down to where my head typically is eliminates hose getting hung up if I toss and turn.
For those of you who won't use due to vanity, I encourage you to reconsider. You won't feel the damage sleep apnea does until it is too late (or if you get so exhausted you can barely function). If you can't seem to sleep with it on, you might talk to Dr about using ambien or other drug with cpap.
From what I know, surgery does not have a high success rate and the recovery can be very very unpleasant. Cpap is the gold standard. A bit of an inconvenience, a pain in the ass to travel with, but if you have moderate to severe and you can use the mask you will feel like a new man.
I don't need you to tell me how good my coffee is. I'm the one who buys it.

Been wearing a Cpap for 15 yrs now and bring my machine everywhere,When i first went for test i was bad enough that the attendant said i flat-lined...was only in there 1 1/2 hrs....put on machine and slept great..Just got this in the mail it's a new machine called a Z1 auto by Breas..its the smallest lightest most intergrated auto Cpap machine on the market. It weighs 10.4 oz and fits in the palm of your hand and will give a full nights sleep on one charge...I'm looking into buying one for travel...I'll update if i get one..

Hi Saber

I was at Medigas yesterday picking up a new mask, hose, and filters. Billed to my insurance. Thank you !  :good2:

I saw the Z1 you spoke about and the (Hot ) sales girl told me its popular with people that travel.

she said a bunch of other stuff about the machine but I didn't here any of it  :wacko3:

The price was $800. and the battery is another $400. and  insurance doesn't cover any of it.  :negative:
