very rare here in the states as Yami decided to miss that here ( although i was living in Canada when all of this happened anyway ) ---

I would have liked to have met all of you but just couldn't get away mid-week.   I hope you can make it back again soon --- maybe to the West Coast Rally -- some year... ( typically its always the weekend  after Memorial Day weekend )

safe travel to you all

Paul, you would have been happy with old sacked out original forks. The crap that Robert and Randy found on your forks was astounding bad. Astounding enough that I am surprised you did not fly fly off in a corner, only to be found later when the buzzards started circling above your position. I am guessing you are pleased with you new set set up?

What was wrong with the forks

Looks like fun was had by all

That was a truly epic trip fellas, glad you had a good time and you even made it to the Mecca of all things FJ, RPM.
Excellent stuff.

I like your commitment, organising such a trip.
40c here today, some of that Canadian cold would be welcome at the moment.

Bring on the photos.

Seriously jealous right now.  We've had rain the past few weeks, so I haven't been able to get out like I wanted to.

At some point I am hoping some of the other knuckleheads post up about our California trip.

The videos are being edited from our ride and I will get them posted as soon as they are done.

I am not a knucklehead... that would imply I knew what a knucklehead even is.. never mind a pan head. Thanks Johnnie for the kick in the butt  :hi:

It is Paul here, the tall one... sorry Wags... I would like to thank all those who came out to greet us on Wed/Thursday in Oakland... It was completely fantastic to meet with you fellows in mid-California...It is crazy to think we live so far apart and yet share such common interests. Randy/Robert thanks for making us feel at home in your shop and helping grab some parts and products to make our rides better.  Truth be told, if the shop was 300 miles away we would be there all the time being annoy as hell.

Thanks for taking time from your busy days and setting up a ride with us. In the 2500 km of roads we rode in 5 days, yours were some of the finest pavement and views we had. For all those who think they can't take their rides far and wide.. it isn't true... plan, execute and enjo, the new friendships and experiences that are available to all.

what can a person say???   We will be back!!!!!!

Wagar on the left and Lutz on the right?  The workboots give them away... :mocking:  Plus the fancy schmancy paint schemes on the helmets, F1 and Supertrapp cans, and that tippy-toe stance....  :pardon:

One of the roads we rode was Old Stage Road coming down out of the mountains.  Sure enough we came upon a one horse town called Fountain Springs.  It wasnt even big enough to be called a hamlet (?). There was this mexican restaurant at the 4 corners. It seemed to be in the middle of nowhere...
This was on the Tuesday, if I recall correctly.

It was a hoot! We sat outside on the patio on another warm day (mid 20sC or mid 80sF), had great food and some good laughs.

Out front there was a genuine tumbleweed.
