For all you heading down to Cali, have a great time and a safe journey.  Make sure you have extra travel insurance on yourself, and double check with you're insurance company for the bike.  OHIP will only cover certain things, and you could still get stuck with a hefty bill should something untoward happen. A few extra bucks could literally save your hide.

I'm sure you know also to tell your bank/credit card you'll be travelling.  Otherwise the first time you use your card, it probably won't work.  Just talking from experience.   :dash2:

Now after all that downer shit, I am sooooo envious!   :cray:  And don't forget the SPF 30 sunscreen.  Our lily white mid winter skin won't handle that California sunshine.

Hmmm.... What else.... Go to bed early, eat your peas, stay under the speed limit...     And the typical conversation with the CHP is "Yes sir - no sir - absolutely sir - thank you sir".  I think that's all the Canadianese they will understand.

Pics and vids please!   :good2:

And no debit cards at the gas pumps... they're finding a lot of 'skimmer' devices in them, at least around here.

228 mile recon ride completed today. Beautiful weather, great roads and the first "ride" of the year. :good:

Hopefully the weather holds out for the same ride, updated forecast shows 50% chance of rain for Thursday.

If not we can definitely cut it shorter at many places.

Keep me posted on your travels, Randy - RPM

Hard to imagine that we are driving a 40,000 pound rolling living room with 5 TV's , three couches, shower , toilet, fridge , stove, washer, dryer, games system, convection oven, at 70mph down the highway. Oh with a trailer full of bikes. Four of the eight guys I met on the FJ forum. The owner of the motorhome and trailer had to cancel so let us take this rig across the country . Some days are better than others. This is a good one.

What a fine adventure you will have. These are the good old days....

Safe travels ...say hello to my mistress when you get to Oakdale. Tell her that I miss her.

By chance, did you bring any Simichrome and clean towels with you?

Weather is still holding at 50% for Thursday, stating early showers and afternoon sunshine...will know the closer we get.

To update Saturdays ride here are a couple of photos...

Fingers are crossed for Thursday being good, I know we are not going to have the great weather and records temps we are currently experiencing, but hey lets hope for a good day.

Those crazy Canucks rolled in about 6:30 last night. They, along with a few crazy Californians are hoping to get some riding in today, but the mother nature might have a different version.

The RPM shop here in Oakdale received 3/4" of rain last night and the locations for the ride are still getting rain at this hour.

We will have to see how it pays out.
