So, I kept messing with the FJ600 carbs. Got it to quit leaking with new needle valves and float adjustments. It would run, but only on choke. I figured the only thing I haven't done is pull the pilot (idle mixture) screws, and maybe there was some crud in that circuit.

Drilled and yanked factory plugs. Three screws came out fine, one was stripped, no slot. I ordered a set of pilot screws from Randy. Nice thing is, the 1200 and 600 screws are the same. This is confirmed by comparing measurements.  :good:

Started drilling the bad screw out, broke my nice left-handed drill bit in it.  :dash1: :dash1: :dash1:

I guess I'm screwed.   :dash2:

Ordered a set of 600 carbs from eBay. Hopefully they won't have stuck screws...

Look up micro welding, the pilot with the drill bit broke off can still be removed and saved....
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

I think I can make an EDM set up (that's Electric Discharge Machining, not Electro Dance Music) and burn it out.

However, getting another set of carbs was the quicker way to go. Still pissed about it. I've been working on this bike for a year now...
