Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

+1.  Thanks for the hospitality bones, gourmet chicken wings and snags  plus all the other bits and bobs. Ate like a king.

Also thanks  to Dougie for the side car blast, it was very enjoyable and i'd recommend it to everybody.

Lotsa a bikes got a fine tune today , what more could you want?

PS I hope our visitor from down south has a quick recovery from his hand accident.

Bones

What a day, :good2:   Thanks everyone for turning up, days like these are great where you get to mingle with fellow members and get things done to your bike that your not sure of or don't have the tools to do it. Big thanks to Rob( Dayta ) for doing my shims, and Ken for supplying some, I think there were about 3 that needed changing.

Great to meet Glen who rode all the way from Victoria, (shame about your hand injury on the rocks), Mark from Grafton on his blue beast, and also to Andrew I think, sorry mate if ive got your name wrong who I found out later bought Randy's Aussie bike.

Had a lot of fun and beer so the  brains a bit fuzzy so I wont try and put captions to photos, but have to say it was a very productive day, mate wise and mechanical.

The General

What a way to spend a Saturday! A ride over the range twisties with Stu & Darran. A little sojourn at a Country bakery. Manshed hospitality with great blokes and a pleasant ride home at Sundown. (only took 1hr 45mins by the expressway!)

Special thanks to Chris & esp your daughter for that Cob loaf with all the goodies inside.
I bought half a shed with me (it saved packing an extra bag of concrete!) and didn`t use any of it. In fact the relaxed atmosphere had me kicking back without even taking out the camera! Great to meet Andrew with Randy`s Aussie FJ and Ray`s brother too.

The fact that Mark (urban Legend) came from interstate for a weekend fun ride while Glen (Chromax) rode across two states, is testament to the Comraderie these bikes have engendered. ...also thanks Glenn for taking over that special delivery of secret foodie ingredients to Francis in Victoria. (The post Office wanted 16 bucks for the privilege!.....Arnie would be proud of me!)

We were full as googs so I left Frank`s Chooks with Ray, Mark, Glenn & Tony for appraisal.

We`ve had another dirt bike believer turn up! Me thinks the ensuing Manshed test rides on/in the various steeds will see more additions to the stable....maybe even another bit on the side!

Lots of interesting banter about 2016 Rally ideas. In fact Stu & Sue are so excited about an Island option (with a perimeter circuit and a pub!....as described by a legend attendee), they`re taking time off work and checking it out this week!
Looking forward to LB`s Overnight Manshed, when he puts a date on it. Meanwhile Rob`s got his hand up for a summer venue.
Since Chromaxe has lifted the bar to a new high, I guess a southern challenge (or even halfway?) is in order if there`s any chance to reciprocate!

Many many thanks again Tony.   :drinks:

Hi All

Just letting you all know that I made it home safe and sound. I would like to thank Bones for hosting the Man Shed day (I think a few of us left with shed envy).
I would also like to send out a really big thanks to X-Ray and his lovely wife and kids for putting up with me for 2 nights.
Also Ray thanks for the little guide4d tour today through the Goldcoast hinterland, what a beautiful part of the world you live in mate.
I now have a few must do mods planned for the bike. 17" wheels are very high on the list, right behind fixing some of the oil leaks.
RoverFJ1200 (Richard), thanks for your offer of some frontend bits, I will let you know when I can get up there to pick them up.
oz.fj I am sure the officer is really sorry for nabbing you and there will be a letter of apology in the mail soon.
Chromeaxe (Glenn), I hope your hand is ok and that you have a safe journey back to Mexico....Ooops I mean Victoria.
Lastly Dayta (Rob). You were a legend mate. I counted 4 carb tune ups and the shims on bones bike. Well done mate.

Again thank you to all involved in the day

Well I finally got to sample the Cooked ManChook last night. For some reason I kept picturing it being smoked like a ham, but turns out it was roasted, and I gotta say it tasted great. Not sure if it was the seasoning on the skin or the way it was cooked, but it had a nice bite to it. Good stuff Doug.:good2:
