Kickstand pad

Not a big deal and not everyone would want to it but as I had to modify the kickstand height due to changing the FJ rear end height I decided to increase the kickstand support pad area.

Thanks for putting this up. I have been trying to figure out an aesthetically pleasing way to extend my kickstand.
What did you use as the packing between the stand and the pad?

It is some dense white plastic. I think it was plastic from a chopping or cutting block used for cooking.  Easy to cut but pretty dense/tough plastic. I cut it to the pattern of the "foot" of the kick stand and tapered it as required for a better angle for the bike.  Originally I had 2 plastic pieces stacked together but the angle of the parked bike was more vertical than I liked so I went back to one plastic spacer.  The original one I made also had a thick AL plate the same size as the stock foot drilled and taped, put two 5mm bolts into it clamping the whole assembly.  When I readjusted the bike parking angle by removing one of the plastic shims I ran across this larger foot that was designed to slip under the side stand and made with aluminum thought heck I would use that for a perminate foot. In the picture my spring is on backwards... Not that it makes any difference.

You might have to dress one edge of the shoe slightly to prevent the stand from hitting the foot peg when retracted. Helps parking in the grass and dirt.
