Finished the rear wheel conversion today. Through social media learned that a gentleman in Germany was taking Yamaha XJR wheels and machining them to accept the ABS cog. I contacted him and purchased the last wheel he had and broke the bank and had it shipped to to US ($200). He said wheel came with the carrier, brake stay and altered brake torque arm (it did), and that his kit was a plug and play set up. True to his word the kit was a fairly straight forward install. I painted both wheels high gloss black, installed new Conti Motions and began the removal of the old rear wheel. Since all the instructions were in German I contacted fellow FJ'er, Craig Ovadia, who's wife translated the instructions. The only real issue I had was trying to figure out the correct way to install the altered brake torque arm and the new set up caused the caliper to bind. Shimming the caliper freed up binding problem and test ride was completed without any alarm. Best of all....I get the fat tire look and keep my ABS!

I like the lower fairing. Carries the paint scheme nicely.
