Looking awesome Russ.   :good2:  Are those exhausts of a Kawi Z1000?  I think you will need some custome decals like FJZCBR 1200 or YamaHondaKawa or something like that.

I just leave center stand off... easy to bolt up for service if required.

I could just take it off but you can guarantee if I did that first time out I would need it, puncture or chain issues or anything else on the rear that having that stand would make life so much better.

I don't know how you ride Russ, but the stand is very limiting for clearance if you crank it over in the corners and how often have you actually needed it on the road?

IMO

Those are indeed the exhaust from the Z1000  as for decals I better find a long bit of bodywork to get it all on

I have no center stand on my FJ. A Snap Jack for the road, and a swing arm stand for the shop is all I need.

Well there you go....

Be sure to turn your front wheel all the way to the left and wrap a velcro strap around your brake lever, holding it in tight.

After all this time has passed and not even had the fj on the road yet I am beginning to question my choice of colour   :scratch_one-s_head:   being out  in the orange Lamborghini I am thinking it might be nice on the fj

It's close to the Kawasaki orange depending on your screen, I have often thought about putting my XK8 in this colour, if I did both it might look a bit over the top on the drive   :unknown:

I think those exhaust have "coloured" your judgement slightly LOL
Still thinking of something..................

I really liked sharppi's from Finland pearlescent blue.

http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=15137.0

But there's always the stalwart British Racing Green

or Chrome Orange

or Magnetic Blue

or.... sorry got carried away.     If you noticed they're all Lotus Elises.  The first thing I get when my lotto comes in.  I guess having too many options is better than none at all.   Whatever you pick I'm certain it will fit the bill.   :good:

OK well after reaching rock bottom then time in hospital with a pulmonary embolism plus a load of other crap going on I think it's time to start on the fj again, went into the workshop everything covered in a foot of dust (well 1/8" possibly) so doors open start the compressor and blow it all away  :good2:  Wow just as I left it, tools and parts still left on the workbench from months ago now I have to try and figure out what I have done or not done. Right, first things first put kettle on make coffee and start work on the rear suspension ... dog bones and triangles with a 2 : 1 ratio, got myself a 6" x 12" x 1" billet of aluminium to make it all from time to measure, calculate, machine and see if it works.  Post again soon  Russ   :bye2:

Is it really that long ago that I said I was going to start the project again.... well I did start the dog bones and triangles and they are fitted but in reality that's about as far as I got.
Fighting an ongoing battle with depression, it's so strange how I can talk about it yet not be able to do anything about it. I would love to get back in the workshop and start working again and one day I will just not today.  Just re reading my write up and all the kind words so many of you have written about the work so far, it helps, it helps a lot. Getting into winter now so lets see how it goes, but again a very big thank you for all the kind words.
