Hey Rob! I and a couple of others will be leaving Munruben to head up the scenic route to Yamanto. If you wanted to come in the back way from Redland Bay-Loganholme-Browns Plains for example, it would be easy enough to meet up.

ok tony, i'll be there fairly early,  get your valve job out of the way early,,  ciao

Hey Ken and the rest of the guys!!!  I was thinking of coming up with you Ken if at all possible?  I was also hoping to get valves done, and if you were going to go early to get Tony's shims done, Id love to mirror the work. If you wanted to let me know of four or five shims sizes that you are running low on, ill bring them to the day to contribute to your shim kit hey???  If time allows of course, but happy to help everyone if too many to fit mine in. Anyways talk to you all soon,   Bender

Bender, you will need a cold engine to measure your valves, like over night cold. The valves will measure different on a warm engine vs. a cold engine. And the valve clearance numbers are based on a cold engine.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Hey Bender, it`ll be great catching up with you. If my memory serves me right you`re a plumber. Any chance of putting the beast on one of your trailers? (So tha motor is cool).....mmmmm...knowing plumbers, I know that means a day to clear all that shit outa the way, but ya gotta do it at least once a year ta cash in on all that copper!...oh and chuck all those spare shims in your pocket. (All my plumber mates have really deep pockets.)

Hi guys, haven't been on the forum for a while. Not sure if I can make the manshed day. Will be on holidays and we are heading down the coast for 10 days to look for our retirement home. I think we are leaving that sat morning but will check with Sue, Cheers

Stua,

You might want to delay your trip south.
Just in case you haven't heard, there has been a "Weather Event"
Then again, it would be a great time to determine where flood insurance would be needed.

Seriously, hope that everyone in the "flood zone" is dry and Ok.

In case anybody has missed it, The next Manshed day will be Saturday May 16th 2015 at my place at Yamanto.
                                                                        Tony.
Hi All. Having just cleared my schedule for the "foreseeable future" I'm aiming to get Yamanto for the day - looking forward to catching up after being a no-show at Grafton.
I've got a couple of unsuspecting mates up that way, all within 100kms or so of Ipswich whom I'll have a chance to see as well..
New tyres this week in preparation, and some general tidying up.
Having hit the maps yet - I'd welcome any and all suggestions/recommendations for stretches of "must ride" road between Melbourne and Yamanto - all will be considered...

See you on the 16th.

Good onya Glenn, I like your spirit. I have great routes mapped out and road tested as far as the NSW North coast, I can help you out with some suggestions for a good ride at least that far.

Bloody hell, isn't it amazing, you put the words "Man" and "Shed" together and it triggers something deep within the male species that makes us want to travel vast distances to be a part of.

Seriously, it'll  be great to meet up with a couple of new faces, hope our Queensland weather isn't going to be too hot for you southern folk.
