Both of my FJs came home on a trailer/pickup bed, and they both came out of Minnesota.
6+ hour, round trip was a no brainer to haul.

Don't worry about those 16" wheels/ tires, as you will be wearing 17s before too long, if you hang out here!
Then there is the brake upgrade, oil filter spin-on conversion, wider mirrors,
fork valves...................................................................................on and on and on,the longer you are here, the better you will understand.
Good luck with your FJ!

I've had many bikes through the years. I started with an 86 fj1200. Went through a bunch. And came back to the Fj. I now have 3 fjs: 86 fj1350r (lightened muscle bike), 89 fj1200 (modded touring/2up), 86 fj1200t current project (going to be complete custom turbo bike) these will be with me until I'm gone.
And all of them came home on a trailer or in the back of a truck.

Welcome. This is the place to be. Met many great (extremely helpful) people here and at the rally's.

Interesting trend in regards to buyers of FJs trailering their purchase(s) home. Perhaps a poll is in order

Two out of the three FJs that I have in my stable were trailered home.

I prefer the fly in ride home method provided the PO is truthful. Enjoy the ride home and sell the bike after. Cheap trip unless you catch FJitis. Then it costs WAY more in mods than you paid for the bike.     Dave
A pistol is like a parachute, if you need one and don't have one you will never need one again.

Ill be bringing 2 FJ's home to me next week, both on a trailer....no shame in my game.
first its up to grab Deans 92 that he so gently and gracefully slid across the Cherohala.
then to Alans place to grab the 84 I bought, I call it my Coyote Ugly purchase.

I think that is the one he slid across the dragon....

Let me know when you are in the area and we can do lunch.
