CBX front sprocket for rear wheel upgrade

Make sure you let us know what you came up with, and how the CBX front sprocket worked out. I was considering doing this myself, and wondered how it would line up with the rear sprocket without any machining to the sprocket carrier.

I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread yet -- you can also "flip" the rear sprocket to help with the alignment.  All the steel rear sprockets I've seen for these rims are dished and will move the chain toward the center of the motorcycle slightly if mounted the other way.  I don't remember how much is typical, and I've seen different sprockets have different amounts of "dish" so the offset could be slightly different between different brands.

Havn't looked at a FJ c/s in a while, but if it is similar to my YZF the splines are too short, The safety lock washer engages the splines on the Countershaft to hold the nut in place. shimming the sprocket out would require removing material from the face of the sprocket to accommodate the lock washer.

I could not find the front sprocket for the Honda, at that time [ about two years ago]

But, I did find a machine shop, in Clearwater Fl.  that makes front sprocket. ....                               

This shop, also, runs drag bikes, So, You know that they can handle the horse power.

and yes, I had to make room in the cover for the offset 18 tooth.
