I have a 1986 FJ1200 (us version) with 15,000 miles and experiencing weak spark problem. As part of the diagnostic procedure,I tested the Pick-up coils resistance and found that one coil was 149.3 ohms the other was 153.8 ohms ( I did warm up the coils with an hairdryer).
According to the manual valid values for the Transistorized Ignition System Coils to be between 108-132 ohms. Does this mean I should replace the coils. Appreciate any opinion greatly.
