Just curious about the various rankings for members, jnr, senior, full, hero, super hero etc. and the various star ratings, are they related to length of membership, number of posts or something else.

It is just a post count thing , dose not  mean you are wise and infallible with all the answers .

pretty much meaningless as for the content of your posts.

Generally the Forum members with a high count have just been around for a while and help with questions about fj mods , repairs and such.

We all make mistakes from time to time and there is always someone with a different view .

some members just posted a welcome to every new member and hit the high post count ... It will not take long to figure out who helps and who just stirs the shit.

I hope that clears it up for you. :drinks:

Yep, Mark has it correct. The post count does not equal wisdom or experience. I may have the most posts but I will not claim to know more about the FJ,. I have too much time on my hands. But I Post up and reply to help others. But Hero or Supper Hero is not worth much on this forum. The wisdom that comes from this site is priceless, just like the members...

I notice that you are "Forum member #16" I am curious to know who may be still active (I mean active) that are even earlier members. I figure Pat Conlon is one, but I don't know if that's accurate.

I`m not one of them but it doesn`t take much to name another 15 based on posts in the last 6 months.

I am proud (and justifiably so, I feel) to be mentioned is such...ummm...auspicious company. This forum fuckin' rocks.  :good2:

I don't think that is right, when I do that it give me the number 4463 but there is only 4119 members. :wacko3:

Unless there are hidden members, kinda like mystery shoppers :flag_of_truce:

I believe that means 344 have joined and then cancelled later.  the numbers don't get recycled .
There are times when someone joins to sell a bike or parts and then cancels after the sale.

I'm #12 it seems and only visit this site every few days.  Most of the early folks were refugees from the old Yahoo site, which had gotten pretty bad.  Truth be told. many/ most of the others on here know more about the FJ than I do.  Anyway, it is indeed a great site filled with great, knowledgeable folks.  Best 'digital campfire' I've had the pleasure to warm myself next to.
