"even the HUD unit...."
Noel, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!?!

What is that "HUD" unit???
I'll proudly proclaim that I'm a HUD cripple at work. I use it ALL the time. So this seems like a great mod to do to my FJ. It won't cost the $400,000- they cost at work either. Done well, stuff like this allows you to ride better without staring at a screen all the time. (What's that windscreen anyway?)

So, so?  :unknown:

OK Pete, you have confused me. I'm not sure what or if you're asking, if you taking the piss, or having a laugh at my expense.

The screen looks a bit odd from that angle but it is a standard one fitted to the late model non US bikes. Probably just as well, any mention of them guarantees someone reminding us of how butt ugly they are. I like it.  Great protection but at the expense of a bit of buffeting.

Err, if you actually have any questions about the HUD, ask away, this is a very good mod.

I also wired mine up through a relay as I didn't want to rely on an "auto-off" system. I hooked my relay into the tail light circuit, so the grips shut-down when the tail light goes out. (when you turn your lights off). Didn't want to run it off the headlights on the off chance something went wrong & I ended up with no headlight. I reckoned worst case if the relay mucked something up with the taillight it's not potentially going to stop me getting home in the dark. Also have a 12v socket hooked up to the same relay for charging the phone etc.
