Guys,
I was out of town from early last week until late last night. I went down to Las Vegas for the 2009 INEX Thunder Roadster World Finals Road Racing Championships. I went into the weekend with an opportunity to complete a perfect season. I had obtained the maximum 1100 points available before that event, and was confident in a victory at the event.

While Vegas is known for it's great weather; it was cold. On Thursdays practice the high temp was 37, and the wind was blowing making it feel much colder. It continued to be cold throughout the weekend as we had to block engine oil coolers to get the oil temps up to the 220 degree operating temps.

I was able to obtain fast qualifer, win my heat and the World Final main event thus capping off a perfect season.

Here is a picture of the car from earlier this year;

I sat down just a little while ago and have over 500 emails to go through. If you sent me something I will be responding back today.

Thank you for your patience; Randy

Congrats Randy, you're walking the talk.
Looks like Rich Ferreira was nipping at your heels with 1158 points. Was he dogging you in LV?
Did you do the water cooler conversion on your 1250? Prolly not needed in the cold desert.

We are very lucky to have someone of your caliber available to help us, thanks amigo!

Congrats Randy!

Hard enough just to field a competative entry, make all the events, and perform well -- but a perfect season, HOLY CRAP!  Well done indeed.   :drinks:

Congratulations. Well deserved!!!
I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired'?

"Well. I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine."

Good work mate, well done.
A question for you, when you say "2009 INEX Thunder Roadster World Finals Road Racing Championships", which nations of the world make up the competitors?

On the face of it a "fair question", but with such an easy answer,  I suspect you're baiting Randy.

Let me help you laddie, go to the INEX website:   http://www.uslegendcars.com/

In the Masters Asphalt class alone, there is 416 entrants, of which, I stopped counting at 26 Canadians, 21 Englishmen and 8 Scots (UK?).....Here Klavdy, count them yourself:  http://tinyurl.com/ybv7lfw

After you finish with the INEX Masters Asphalt class, don't to forget to also Tally the other 16 INEX classes..

It is curious to note that there are no Aussie entrants......

I wonder if there has ever been a competition between the Legends and the Aussie series cars?

Harvy,

Its not possible for the legends and aussie series cars to race as the legends tend to circulate the track in a clockwise manner as the aussies circulate in a counter clockwise manner.
