Seeing how I have been nominated to host the next manshed day, I would like to get in early to work out a date. Considering everyone is busy over the x mas / new year period and the Wog 57 rally is early March, I suggest sometime in Feb would be the go. If you could let me know what weekend would suit you, we could pin down a date. It would be held at my place in Caboolture

ken65

any day suits me, cant wait, cheers ken

Bones

The 22nd is Chris' birthday so that weekend is out for me, but any other is ok Stu.

hey bones, bring chris along and she can have lots of fun aswell..

Bones

Yeah I'm sure she'd like that Ken, :sarcastic:  men talking shit about motorbikes to her would be like us sitting there listening to a bunch of women talking about shopping.  :dash2:

I`m available any weekend in Feb, but would suggest earlier the better to push my arse inta gear for March. Note also, I am not busy at all from the 26th Dec.

Incidently my DR650 I rode to Glenn`s shed last time, I will be letting go. It hardly gets out these days. (last manshed was the only ride in 10 months). It`s got some good gear on it like Ohlims shock, MPE front suspension, and stuff. Only twenty something thousand, 2006 model, 1 owner. Got a bump/scratch on the tank where a short arse (that was building it a decent gear rack), jumped on it and required the trailer adjacent to hold it up.
Okay I`ll keep typing though it`s off topic re stuff.... Jimmy Button handlebars, bar risers, bark busters, sump guard, rough but strong & light rubber sprung, gear rack and sacks, home made effective windscreen with internal bracket for first aid kit. Hasn`t been dropped once! (more like at least a dozen times!). I love this indestructible, ultra reliable machine that can do anything, (Tour or rough dirt fun...I`ve had it sitting on 140 to 150 camp gear loaded, all day, outback!)....but don`t think their worth much these days cause you can get a new one for a bit under $9k me thinks. (Though standard suspension sucks.) FJ forum guys can Borrow her for a Chrissy weekend....no obligation to purchase and fully insured with pillion rego. (Be a pleasure to see her ridden.) There`s a yellow 2005 model for sale on Gum tree for a crazy $4500 but I reckon somewhere around $3k seems the go with the ohlims gear. Oh there`s a safari tank I never installed too.  :drinks:

Early February works best for me. :good2:
I'd say I'll have to work the last few weekends before the rally.

Ok, sat 7 feb and 21/22 are out. Weekend of 31/1 would work well for me so let me know if that would be suitable. I had better start cleaning out the shed

X-Ray

All good for me!

Arrrghh, stop tempting me with your dirt bike goodness Doug. I have another FJ here to rebuild at the moment, which will suck up my available funds for approx the next year, lol.

Sounds like an opportunity Dash. Same financial terms as your present account or...say a Hay Bale per week?
Hey, why not take it to LB`s for Christmas! It`s only sitting in the shed.
I promise it won`t be a prob if ya bring it back with a bit of dirt & scratches. Would then offer to the public in January!  :drinks:
