Basic tools at my place, check with me if you need any special tools.
I have a compressor but no rattle gun

Rattle Gun!!! I've got 3 of them. I can bring a kit up if anyone needs one.

how'd you go with the valves?

Good thanks Ken, used all the 2.75 's so I bought a couple of replacements. Now just waiting on some o rings for the pilot screws. I accidentally blew them into orbit with compressed air when I was cleaning the carbs. One of them was pretty chewed up which might explain the popping at idle. Your mate at Sandgate is not back at work yet so I still have the rear shock to sort out

I could use one to get the nut off the ignition so I can do the timing mod. I have also buggered the screws holding the plate. It might be a good idea not to let me near your bikes, I seem to be doing more breaking than fixing. i will just stick to cooking snags

excellent, so all your valves are sweet?  i used up all my 2.80 with my adjustments.    its a good feeling not having to worry
whats happening under the tappet cover....  if  you can get the o ring size your chasing theres a bloke at  brendale who will have them...
he has millions of them,  probably 20 hundred million ..

No worries Stu, I'll even bring up my little bracket to hold the rotor while retightening the bolt. It got a good workout doing timing mods at the Generals Manshed day.

I'll have to check out how you did your carbs Stu, I still haven't put anything up on the ones I've started on the Project FJ, but I've decided to put new kits in all 4. Only around $31.00 each kit with everything needed from Motorcycle Spares Warehouse in Vic. The jets and all are pretty gummed up, easily cleaned but the emulsion tubes are just a basket case, plus I stuffed a couple of bowl gaskets. What the heck, if I'm going to rebuild this bike properly, I'll have to spend the money.....   :wacko1:

Not if you`re a politician!...Speaking of which, I always vote days before the set date, at the same place where all the local sheep go on the official voting date. A number of voting sites open days, earlier for absentee votes. (Don`t matter if ya not really going to be absent). While I`m there I`ll knock off some placards & brochures on how ta really vote if ya need some!
....mmmmm, might wear my burqa under the helmet so nobody can recognise me.   :drinks:
