Welcome yourself & thanks Jools, I have to say I'm very pleased with the bike.  My problem is other things intruding on the leisure activities, although calling it leisure is underselling the meaning a bit.

Real GEM 43 ks all original never been touched or molested stock standard 2nd set of rubber since new all original!

Getting it ready for rego, servicing the fluids etc whats the tyre sizes on those Pirrelli's & whats those cans (mufflers on your bike)?

Also I might re-chain and re-sprocket if you ever get round to it whats your gearing (rear teeth) sounds like your machines been sorted?

Geezusss I took for it a quick blast for 15 minutes yesterday they got some mid range poke eh"

Hi FJTAS, congrats on the addition to the stables.  Was the guys name Geoff in South Arm by any chance? I've got a few others myself but they are more the early 70's & late 60's bikes in various states of 'projecthood'.  I'd resisted the FJ appeal for a while with a mate of mine telling me how good they were.  The reality has shown he wasn't exaggerating but as the guys have said get the new rubber on there that can handle an 'Geezusss' moments.  The Pirelli on mine are: Front 120/70 -17 & Rear 150/80 V16.  The rear sprocket is a 40T one, not sure why the PO changed this the 'documentation' says 39T for this year?  Maybe someone more informed can say.  As for the can's, who knows there is nothing to identify them and I wonder if they aren't hiding some past sins but it seems to be a good job.  That might be a task for the future in changing the pipes over.  It is great to ride and seems pretty sorted (more the PO work than anything I've done), but I have a few things to change, risers from RPM to just give me a bit more comfort, got some grip puppies on there as the previous grips were too small to be comfortable or slim might be a better word.  Enjoy, I've not done it but think Tassie sounds like a great place to ride.
