Hello all, Dave Horton here, recently became a proud owner of an 86 FJ1200 that runs OK but clearly needs some TLC. So I will be calling on the experts here for sage advice and encouragement.

I live in San Jose, CA, so am blessed with some of the best rides close by. Can't wait for winter to finish! Snow on the Santa Cruz mountains today! Luckily I got a Pacific Coast Hiway trip in last week.

Must dash, have a clutch to dismantle.

Hi Dave,
You've picked a double winner - the 86 SC and this web ring. I was in your position four years ago almost to the day - bought my 86 Dec 6th 2005. The bikes been awesome and ownership is really complimented by this great forum, which can collectively fix anything.
Get her right and come join us at a rally. Next one on the West Coast is in May in Willits.
More fun than you can shake a stick at.
